ARGGGGG!

Ok, we all know how technologically advanced I am, but I am learning. I finally got the link to my pictures on this blog so you can all go to my pics from here. It has been a wonderful moment for God to teach me about patience. I don't think I was ever this frustrated teaching 8 year olds; at least I never had the urge to throw things that I sometimes get when I don't understand. Mostly it's my frustration with my ignorance in such matters, but I like to think it's really the computers fault!? Well, anyways, I am heading back to the DR in two days and I am excited as well as scared. I was just saying to a friend today how it is amazing that your heart can be so drawn to multiple places at once. I am reassured, though, that the DR is where God has me (at least for right now).
My prayer for you is Jude1:24-25.

Finally!

Ok, everyone, I finally got a Blog. For those of you that don't know what that is (I sure didn't until recently), it is just a place where you all can see what is going on in my ministry and my life. I will try to keep it updated, but once the school year gets going I am sure it will be more of challenge.
I have one more week here in the states and then I will be heading back to the DR (Dominican Republic). My mom will be visiting July 26th -Aug 1st. I will be kicking off work on Aug 2nd with a staff trip to the mountains where we will work on team building and training. School starts the 17th of August and I have a lot of work to do between now and then.
Next school year I will be teaching Math and English to the junior high students. I will also be in charge of English instruction. This means I will be monitoring all English language instruction at the school and helping to devise the standards for where each grade should be. As Doulos strives for US accreditation, this will be challenge. What I am most looking forward to is the development of a formal junior high ministry. We will begin with trips, bible studies, clubs and the usual youth ministry ideas. This year will be the biggest challenge of my life, but God is faithful and will be my strength!
