Urbana Here I Come!
This is a picture of our class learning about the drill that came to school to dig for clean drinking water. We also learned about the ground and why the water close to the surface isn't clean.
My students are doing well. Lately we have had an attack of the tattle tales, but they are coming up with creative solutions to our problem. Some of my students come from families that give them such a wonderful base in the Lord. Today Franchira said to me that "we can't hit or hurt others because we are doing that to God." She said "God is my body and your body, so if I do something to hurt you I am really hurting God!" What a revelation! If only us adults could remember that sometimes!
It's official. I will be representing Doulos at Urbana 2006. I am so very excited, but also nervous because of the huge responsibility I have. My biggest task is to encourage the staff to go. Right now they can only see the price tag and don't see it's worth it. Please pray that God would open thier hearts to the idea, as well as provide funds.
God is so faithful, even when we are not!
